What We Offer

Recreational Therapy

Recreational Therapy uses purposeful activities and interventions to improve physical, cognitive, emotional, and social functioning. Our certified therapists design individualized plans that promote independence and well-being.

Key Features of Recreational Therapy Services:

  • Recreation Participation: Structured opportunities for individuals to engage in recreational activities that promote health, socialization, and personal growth within community settings.
  • Functional Intervention: Targeted therapeutic activities designed to restore, remediate, or rehabilitate functional abilities. We work on physical, cognitive, and emotional goals through structured intervention plans.
  • Leisure Education: Assisting the client in learning new leisure skills, establishing an awareness of self and leisure, and acquiring knowledge related to leisure-resource utilization.
  • Activity Analysis Techniques and Purpose. Activity analysis in recreational therapy means breaking down an activity into parts so you can match it to a client's needs, goals, and abilities. Task breakdown: You split the activity into small, clear steps. Skill identification: You list what skills the activity requires. Grading the activity: You adjust difficulty up or down. Adaptation/modification: You change tools, rules, or environment. Safety assessment: You check risks and plan how to prevent injury. Environmental analysis: You consider space, noise, lighting, and accessibility.
